BARBRI, widely known for helping more than 1 million lawyers pass the bar, is on its way to similarly influencing budding legal careers. The company will provide critical training for new attorneys at the second annual BARBRI Associate Edge Boot Camp this fall.
“There are some things you just don’t learn in law school,” said Mike Sims, an attorney and president of BARBRI. “At our Boot Camps, new associates get a crash course in learning how to immediately function as effective lawyers.”
BARBRI has successfully prepared more students to pass the bar than all other bar review programs combined and now supports every stage of the legal life cycle – from pre-law student to practicing attorney. Both students and attorneys turn to BARBRI for expert legal education that will help them thrive in school and in practice. For the associate Boot Camps, BARBRI has teamed up with the lawyer search experts at Lawyer.com.
“The career challenges facing recent law school graduates are daunting,” said Gerald Gorman, Lawyer.com CEO. “Lawyer.com is pleased to sponsor BARBRI’s innovative Boot Camp program to help new lawyers get off to a running start.”
The Lawyer.com-sponsored Associate Edge Boot Camp consists of five impactful sessions designed to teach inexperienced lawyers the practical skills necessary to succeed in their first few years of practice. Topics include how to become the “go-to” associate, memo and brief writing, financial literacy and concepts, persuasive communication and time management. Lawyer.com also will provide its accredited Online Legal Marketing presentation to assist lawyers in creating a professional digital footprint.
BARBRI will conduct four Boot Camps throughout the fall: September 19-20 at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles; October 3-4 at UC Hastings College of Law in San Francisco; October 24-25 at Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington; and November 7-8 at New York University School of Law in New York.
BARBRI, Inc., has helped more lawyers prepare for the bar than any other company and is now positioned to meet the legal education needs of both law students and attorneys throughout their academic and professional careers.
