BARBRI, the nation’s preeminent legal education company, has reached an agreement with Widener University School of Law (Widener) in Delaware -the state’s only law school – to exclusively facilitate its on-campus bar review course for the Delaware Bar.
“This new agreement builds on a long-time, successful partnership between Widener and BARBRI,” said Mike Sims, president of BARBRI. “The real winners here are Delaware bar exam takers who will now have complete and seamless access to BARBRI’s unmatched experience, faculty and technology.”
Widener has acted for the past 13 years as the state’s only licensee of BARBRI MBE (multistate bar examination) testing materials and certain online resources, which the School of Law made available to students enrolled in its Widener Delaware Bar Review Course. Widener staff taught and operated the course, an independent bar studies program.
Beginning with the summer 2014 session, Widener subject matter experts will still deliver the live lectures at Widener Law School, but BARBRI will administer all aspects of the course, which includes video and workshop lectures.
“We are pleased to partner with a leading expert in the area of bar preparation, such as BARBRI” said Larasz Moody, Director of Bar Programs, at Widener. “Our partnership with BARBRI will serve to further strengthen our bar prep course available to Widener law students and help them to pass the bar the first time they take it.”
Any students anywhere -not just Widener students -who are qualified to sit for the Delaware, or any state’s bar exam may leverage BARBRI’s online, interactive course. BARBRI’s materials incorporate advanced technology based on Nobel Prize-winning research into how people learn and the engaging aspects of video and online games to teach foundational rules of law, so students learn faster and retain information longer.
More than 1 million attorneys in the United States have passed the bar with BARBRI – more than all other bar review courses combined. BARBRI’s bar review course is trusted and highly regarded and is the only program offered in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. To register online, visit http://www.barbri.com/enroll.html.
