David has an unwavering belief that his success is directly connected to his clients’ success and in fact, this passion for student success drives every aspect of his professional career. Of all his job responsibilities, David most enjoys interacting, sharing best practices and brainstorming with faculties to develop and execute relevant education solutions that make a difference in students’ lives.

David began his career journey as a high school teacher, a role in which he was twice voted one of Los Angeles’s most inspirational teachers. Over the course of his career, he has served in corporate executive and academic roles, including chief executive over the Texas student assessment program — the largest K-12 state testing program in the nation. He has also held several senior executive positions involving product management, program implementation, and research and development.

David has generously shared his knowledge and expertise with colleagues, and has published numerous professional articles related to student achievement, childhood obesity, gifted and talented students, and school evaluation. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University, a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University, and is a certified principal in the state of Texas.

In his spare time, David is an avid speed chess player. He has frequently traveled to New York City to play in Washington Square Park, and has logged in more than 1,000 hours competing there.
